Our Story
A Space Where Money Habits Are Explored, Not Judged
Tallive was founded on the belief that lasting financial change starts with understanding behaviour, not willpower.

The Tallive Story
Tallive began in Johor Bahru in 2019, when a small group of educators and behavioural science enthusiasts noticed something consistent: most Malaysians understood what they should do with money. The harder part was actually doing it — and keeping it up.
The founding team had spent years working across adult education and personal development, and they kept returning to the same question: why do sensible people find it so hard to save regularly, even when they want to? The answer, almost always, lay in behaviour — habits formed early, emotional patterns around spending, and the subtle ways our environment shapes our choices without us noticing.
From that observation, Tallive took shape as an education studio with a specific focus: helping people see their money habits more clearly and make small, sustainable changes from that clearer vantage point. No charts, no slogans, no pressure. Just structured conversation, practical tools and a supportive group to think alongside.
Today, Tallive runs three main programmes from its suite in Menara Ansar, Johor Bahru. Each one is designed to fit into a working adult's life without overwhelming it — because real change tends to happen gradually, and that's something we respect.
Our Mission
To make the behavioural side of saving accessible and approachable for everyday Malaysians — through structured education, not lectures or products.
Our Vision
A Malaysia where more people feel at ease with their day-to-day financial decisions — not from pressure or fear, but from clarity and steadier habits built over time.
Our Values
Respect for the learner. Honesty about what education can and can't do. A preference for small, lasting change over large, short-lived ones.

How We Work
Our Standards & Approach
We hold ourselves to clear principles in how we design and deliver every learning experience.
Evidence-Informed Design
Programme content is shaped by published work in behavioural economics and habit formation — not trending financial advice.
Privacy & Discretion
What participants share in sessions stays within the group. We never collect or share personal financial data, and all contact information is stored securely.
No Financial Products
We do not recommend, sell or affiliate with any financial product. Our only interest is in the quality of the learning experience.
Ongoing Programme Review
We review and update our materials twice a year, taking participant feedback and new research into account to keep content relevant and useful.
Respectful Facilitation
Sessions are facilitated without judgment. Participants are never pressed to share more than they're comfortable with, and all experiences are treated as valid.
Locally Rooted Content
Examples, spending scenarios and reflection prompts are drawn from everyday Malaysian life — not adapted from international programmes.
Behavioural Finance Education in Johor Bahru
Saving is rarely just a numbers problem. Most adults in Malaysia know they'd benefit from putting something aside each month — the challenge is the doing of it, consistently, over time. This is where behavioural insight becomes genuinely useful. Rather than looking at income and expenditure alone, Tallive's programmes explore the mental patterns, environmental nudges and emotional responses that shape financial behaviour day to day.
The team at Tallive draws on concepts from behavioural economics — fields that look at how people actually make decisions, rather than how they might in theory. These concepts are translated into simple, usable frameworks: how to design your environment to make saving easier, how to notice spending patterns without shame, how to build review rituals that feel sustainable rather than punishing.
Johor Bahru is a dynamic city with a working population that straddles different cost-of-living pressures, family obligations and aspirations. Tallive's content reflects this context directly, rather than using generic examples that don't quite fit local realities.
